Yam Magazine owner and artist herself Yam is a creative director, visual artist, and most-recently a jewelry designer with her Yam Bands, bracelets featuring sharp spikes in all types of colors which she talks more about in our interview. Yam is super involved in the music scene as well working with music video makers like Iceefiles who produces high quality videos featuring a lot of artists from around Detroit. She's super inspired by extravagant art from all different cultures and movements like punk or Japanese styles which she talks more in detail about in the interview.
